50 cent review wasn't based on performance
What's with "give us our damn money back" and "tickets not worth 50 cents"? You would think from the review of the 50 Cent concert ("50 Cent tickets not worth 50 cents," April 28 review) that no one showed up to perform. Both 50 Cent and Clipse have only one album released. What did anyone expect from them? It's a rap show. How many people saw their first rap show last Friday at the Bryce Jordan Center? How many rap concerts has the reviewer been to? It wasn't my first. How can one judge a performance based on everything but the performance itself? Not the intermission, not the DJ. The review said, "The show's only saving grace was 50 Cent's charismatic performance." A charismatic performance? What else could one want? Also, how did the reviewer determine the mood of the crowd? He didn't talk to my friends or me. If you were let down by the 50 Cent concert, re-evaluate your expectations of a rap concert and get out to see more of them. He performed his whole album and other popular underground cuts. What else did you expect him to do? If you thought the tickets were expensive, you are right. Consider that every concert that comes to the Jordan Center is overpriced. That's the price you should have to pay for the hottest rapper out right now. Mike Jax
