Chemical 'find' in Iraq not enough justification

Anyone else excited about the statement "American troops reported finding a metal drum that preliminary tests indicated could contain chemicals used to disable and kill"? Saddam was armed to the teeth with weapons of mass destruction, right? Isn't that why we're over in Iraq? To get rid of these weapons?

Well, I for one am glad that they are finding something over there. I was beginning to think that our soldiers and inspectors were blind. Since Saddam had so many weapons, I was assuming they had to find something soon. Hey, I guess blind squirrels do find a nut now and then. And just like that, our president has 55 gallons worth of justification for pissing off half the world and leaving a country in ruins. "Chemicals used to disable and kill"? Come on now, cigarettes contain chemicals that can "disable and kill." When they find something for real, let me know.

I'm so glad that we put our soldiers in harm's way to find a drum of chemicals. I bet those soldiers feel just as safe as I do now. Ask the parents of the soldiers who died over there if they feel safer and are glad that their son or daughter helped place that barrel in good hands; I doubt it.

Also, American soldiers arrested a man for "his inability to support the coalition military authority and for exercising authority which was not his." Are they talking about Mohammed Mohsen al-Zubaidi? Nah, I think they meant France. How dare they try and veto a U.N. resolution for war.
