A Shippensburg man faces burglary charges stemming from an incident that occurred in the early morning hours of Jan. 18 in State College.
Michael E. Alexander, 21, is charged with burglary, criminal trespass, two counts of theft by unlawful taking or disposition, and two counts of receiving stolen property.
According to the criminal complaint, Alexander and two accomplices entered apartments on the 900 block of Bellaire Ave. and removed 175 compact discs valued at $1,680.
The three then went to Beta Theta Pi fraternity, 220 N. Burrowes St., and took 20 compact discs valued at $310 and four DVD movies valued at $100, according to the complaint.
The residents at both locations reported various high-ticket items missing as well, some of which were later recovered by police and some that were returned anonymously.
Alexander's preliminary hearing is at 11 a.m. today in Centre County Courthouse, Bellefonte.
