SCIHEALTH

A federal healthcare law aimed at protecting patients' privacy rights was implemented yesterday at health-related institutions nationwide.

HUB Alumni Hall was transformed into a space and science wonderland when Penn State and the Pennsylvania Space Grant Consortium sponsored the fourth annual Space Day on Saturday. The event focused on Earth, air and space research at the university.

Penn State researchers are exploring how information technology can help different groups express their opinions about policy issues.

Though Congress has officially proclaimed 2003 the Year of the Blues, the effects have taken a long time to filter down to Penn State.

San Francisco quartet Tea Leaf Green will be brewing tonight at The Brewery, 233 E. Beaver Ave. Together since 1997, the members of Tea Leaf Green have produced more than 50 original songs, but setlists may include covers ranging from a heavy AC/DC rocker to Michael Jackson's "Thriller." The show begins at 9:30 and is for ages 21 and over. Tickets are $3.
