Today's University Park forecast

Rain showers will dampen the start of your weekend, but things will turn much more pleasant by the end of the weekend. A low pressure system will work its way off the Virginia coastline today, driving rain across the state. Once this system departs, high pressure will begin to build to our south, putting the Commonwealth in a almost summer-like weather pattern. This high pressure will remain in place through at least the first part of next week, bringing the return of mild temperatures to Happy Valley, where temperature will peak in the 70s
