Area man arraigned on multiple rape charges

A State College man was arraigned yesterday by District Justice Carmine Prestia on multiple rape charges stemming from alleged incidents that involved underage boys. The incidents allegedly occurred between September 1999 and March 2001, according to Prestia's office.

Jack Pressler, 45, 1857 N. Atherton St., faces 10 counts of rape, 10 counts of sexual assault, 10 counts of indecent assault, five counts of indecent exposure, one count of corruption of minors and one count of endangering the welfare of children.

Pressler's wife, Maryann, 37, faces two counts of endangering the welfare of children.
