Carlin comedy show was gross, not funny
This is sent as a warning to anyone who ever has the "opportunity" to see George Carlin. If you like leaving a "comedy" act feeling depressed about society and suicidal, then by all means, check out the rest of his tour dates. A successful "comedian" in this day and age doesn't typically get HBO specials for talking about suicide for about half an hour. Kicking his performance off with the statistic that suicide is the third highest cause of death for males age 15 to 25, George Carlin goes into detail about a concept of autoerotic asphyxiation. This concept, which Carlin said that 1,000 people die from every year, involves masturbating and hanging yourself right before you orgasm. Hilarious, right? Not to mention the pathetic fart jokes about how people from third world nations have the smelliest farts. That doesn't top it off though; my favorite part was when he recalled that when many people die, they use their livers, hearts, kidneys, etc., and that by the same token, if a young woman should die, we should use her genitals. The weirdest part of this horrifying spectacle was the laughs that these bits got. I couldn't believe that people would actually laugh at and applaud this trash. Not only do I want my $36 back, but I want two-and-a-half hours of my life back. Dave Chapelle was a lot funnier, and he was free! If anyone saw this man and you think otherwise, the next flight to hell leaves at 8 a.m. Greg Wyrick
