George Carlin is a lot of things, but politically correct isn't one of them.

After a debut album that went multi-platinum, most bands would take a long drink of satisfaction and comfortably rest on their laurels.

Mudvayne accepted its MTV Video Music Award decked out in masks, bloodstained tuxedos and outlandish outfits. It's a staple for the heavy metal quartet.

Officials at The Bryce Jordan Center announced yesterday that '70s and '80s power rock groups Journey, Styx and REO Speedwagon will come together to perform at 7 p.m. June 24 at the Jordan Center.

Bluegrass jam band Railroad Earth will perform tonight at The Brewery, 233 E. Beaver Ave., with opening act Bear Meadows String Band. The group is made up of former members of defunct jam bands From Good Homes and Blue Sparks From Hell.
