Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity returned to the Interfraternity Council (IFC) following its appeal to the Student Organization Appeals Board.

To incorporate student views into its decision about proposed surveillance cameras on Beaver Avenue, the State College Borough Council may move up its final vote to April 21.

Only a few weeks into the war in Iraq, Penn State is seeing a drop in the number of students being called to active military duty.

Habitat loss in Pennsylvania due to development is increasing, and the state stands at a "crossroads in wildlife conservation," according to a report co-written by Penn State faculty and Hawk Mountain Sanctuary staff.

The Undergraduate Student Government (USG) Supreme Court's verdict on possible elections code violations was not available late last night.

SPORTS

While the Penn State women's lacrosse team came out against Loyola Saturday hoping to snap its win-loss streak, it came out against Johns Hopkins yesterday in exactly the opposite fashion.

Strong pitching performances from the third and fourth starters is a key component in the formula for success in Big Ten baseball.

The Penn State baseball club was listening for two simple words this weekend. In fact it has been waiting for those words for a long time.

Two Big Ten wrestling champions could be leaving the conference early next year. Penn State is hoping that at least one of those wrestlers makes his way back to Happy Valley.

In the context of Big Ten women's gymnastics, Michigan is a powerhouse. Winning five consecutive conference championships and 11 of the last 12, the Wolverines have created a dynasty.

Under gray skies and on muddy fields, 24 men's and 15 women's Frisbee teams from the United States and Canada competed in the ninth annual Spring Phling tournament, held this past Saturday and Sunday on the Penn State campus.

SCIHEALTH

Counting calories, reading labels, exercising more and avoiding weight gain are examples of normal habits of a health-conscious person. But in extreme cases, these same habits may be symptoms of an eating disorder. This is true in the case of Penn State alumna Jessica Weiner.

"Excellence is never an accident -- it is the result of hard work," states a sign in the new home of the Indoor Cycling Studio in the White Building.

Shock, amazement and frustration swept the Penn State campus yesterday as yet another snowstorm hit the State College area, covering the springtime greens with a fresh, white layer of snow.

On Thursday, University Health Services (UHS) began implementing a pilot project for online appointment scheduling through the ANGEL Course Management System.

Despite the recent frigid weather, the promise of summer is just around the corner and many students are trying to get in shape.

While losing an hour of sleep this weekend may have been rough for some students, the coming weeks will provide more daylight to play Frisbee or read on the HUB lawn, all while bathing in even more sunlight.

Sticky bacteria may soon be cleaning up your drinking water.

ARTS

While most celebrities have been reluctant in recent weeks to voice their opinions on controversial subjects -- be it the Dixie Chicks reneging on their anti-Bush remarks or the removal of Amanda Bynes' peace sign on the movie poster for What a Girl Wants -- there is one who will most likely go out of his way to shake people up.

Three State College bands will be thinking globally, but acting locally, when they perform tonight at The Brewery, Inc., 233 E. Beaver Ave.

WEATHER

Cloudy with a slight chance of light rain. High 39.
