Student arraigned on charges of burglary

A Penn State student was arraigned on burglary charges yesterday stemming from a March 22 incident.

Karl Raghina, 19, of 360 E. Hamilton Ave., is charged with criminal attempt of theft by unlawful taking or disposition, criminal conspiracy, theft by unlawful taking or disposition, receiving stolen property, and criminal mischief.

According to the criminal complaint, Raghina and an accomplice, Yashar Youssefi, attempted to steal the wheels and tires from a BMW car belonging to Joel Confer Toyota-BMW-Dodge, 120 E. Clinton Ave.

Raghina faces a preliminary hearing at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday in Centre County Courthouse, Bellefonte.

Youssefi waived his preliminary hearing March 26 on the same charges.
