Protesting disrespects soldiers who are fighting
To the protesters: You all disgust me. Before this war started, you all had every right to protest. But now the war has begun. Your behavior is truly disheartening to myself and many other Americans. First of all, the soldiers didn't ask to be there; the only reason they are there is because they joined the forces to protect all American citizens, even you. How do you think they and their families feel when they see so many of you disrespecting not only our country but also the soldiers fighting for it? The soldiers more then anyone need our support. You may be anti-war, but be pro-American, pro-support. Second, you are all hypocrites. How many "peace protests" have now turned violent. People are being injured and one man already died because of these so-called "peace protests." These protests are also taking away from national security. Our country's terrorist level is high. You are wasting the time of our security because they have to babysit you! Do you remember Sept. 11, 2001? Do we need another one from Saddam to wake you up? Do you honestly think that President Bush is going to just stop the war just because you are standing out on College Avenue? Come on, get a grip. It's people like you who are dividing our country. I say "Thank you" to the men and women who are fighting for us right now. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Amanda Hartman
