Dorman/Ricketts

Tim Dorman and Robyn Ricketts said they have more internal experience in USG than other tickets. Using this experience, they want to help students embrace USG.

Dorman (junior-chemical engineering) is president of the Blue and White Society and a member of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers. Ricketts (junior-kinesiology) is internal development and program director for USG and student relations chair for University Park Allocations Committee.

One of their main campaign platforms is to implement a system to schedule advising appointments online and to start an online response system that would allow students to e-mail a question and receive a response based on key words.

"It's just for general advising," Ricketts said. "If it doesn't work [university-wide], we'll go through the colleges."

A second goal is to create a student organization liaison in the executive branch of USG.

A third campaign goal is to use off-campus facilities such as the Ryder and James Buildings and area businesses as study areas. "Panera and Irving's have overnight bakers. Why not stay open later?" Ricketts said.

Dorman and Ricketts also want to implement one-day and weekend recreational activites and tournaments to augment the intramural sports program.
