Davis/Ryan

David Davis (junior-journalism and speech communications) and Sara Ryan (sophomore-political science) said their experience within USG and outside of it makes them qualified to lead the executive branch.

"The way we see it, we already are leaders in the positions that we hold," Davis said.

Davis is Black Caucus president and has worked on USG's diversity committee.

Ryan is the USG director of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender community and its allies (LGBTA) affairs.

They said there are many flaws within USG, such as balance of power between its branches. The pair said they hope to fix some of these flaws; Ryan is currently serving on a USG internal review committee.

One of Davis' and Ryan's goals is to add student-generated questions to SRTE evaluations and put results of those questions online.

These questions will be more objective than the ones on the The Daily Jolt Web site, Davis said.

The candidates also want to make applications for football and Distinguished Speaker Series tickets online and provide book loans through the Student Book Store, 330 E. College Ave.

They also want to have outdoor music and movies on the HUB lawn during comfortable weather.
