Four students arraigned on marijuana charges

Four Penn State students were arraigned on drug charges yesterday as a result of a joint investigation by the Centre County Drug Task Force and the State College Police Department.

Kelsey L. Rice, 21, of 709 Southgate Drive, faces eight counts of delivery of a controlled substance and possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, four counts of possession of a controlled substance, four counts of the criminal use of a communication facility, and two counts of criminal conspiracy.

Rice allegedly sold various amounts of marijuana to a police informant. She is free on $25,000 unsecured bail.

Matthew M. Rodgers, 23, of 671A Waupelani Drive, faces six counts of delivery of a controlled substance and possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, three counts of possession of a controlled substance, and three counts of the criminal use of a communication facility.

Rodgers allegedly sold various amounts of marijuana to a police informant. He is free on $20,000 unsecured bail.

Anthony J. Del Grippo, 21, also of 709 Southgate Drive, faces two counts of delivery of a controlled substance and possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, and criminal conspiracy.

Del Grippo allegedly sold various amounts of marijuana to a police informant. He is free on $10,000 unsecured bail.

Thomas R. Daly Jr., 21, of 950 W. Aaron Drive, faces two counts of the manufacture of a controlled substance and possession with intent to manufacture a controlled substance, and two counts of possession of a controlled substance.

Daly allegedly was in the process of growing psilocyn mushrooms and had in his possession 337.53 grams of marijuana.

He is free on $10,000 unsecured bail.

All the defendants face preliminary hearings scheduled for April 9 at 8:30 a.m. in the Centre County Courthouse, Bellefonte.
