Sigma Alpha Mu fraternity, 329 E. Prospect Ave., faces a preliminary hearing today on a charge of selling or furnishing liquor or brewed beverages to minors.
The charge stems from an incident that occurred Sept. 27, when police were called to the fraternity for a possible alcohol overdose.
According to the criminal complaint, police were led into the fraternity by members to a visibly intoxicated underage woman who was later taken to Centre Community Hospital by ambulance.
Police initially received conflicting accounts from fraternity members concerning the party, but members later said that no measures were taken to ensure everyone at the party was 21 years old, police said.
