Two PSU students face drug charges

Two more Penn State students face charges in connection with the March 6 drug sweep in a joint investigation by Penn State Police Services and the Centre County Drug Task Force.

Luis Rosario, 18, of 204 Geary Hall, was arraigned March 19 on charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession with the intent to deliver a controlled substance. Penn State police supervisor Dwight Smith said Rosario sold an eighth of an ounce of marijuana to an informant on Jan. 18.

Rosario was released on his own recognizance and faces a preliminary hearing tomorrow at the Centre County Courthouse, Bellefonte.

Ardalan Esteghlalian, 22, of 301 S. Pugh St., was arraigned March 20 on charges of possession of a controlled substance, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, delivery of a controlled substance and criminal use of a communication facility. Task force coordinator Scott Merrill said Esteghlalian sold an eighth of an ounce of marijuana on Oct. 17 to an informant in the presence of an undercover police officer.

Esteghlalian was released on $10,000 unsecured bail and faces a preliminary hearing tomorrow at the Centre County Courthouse, Bellefonte.
