Student voices on war
The Daily Collegian asked: How will the war affect you tomorrow?

"I have two people over there that are close to me, so I am thinking about it constantly. I think that we are too far away to have a feeling about it every moment, but I definitely respect and support everything going on over there."

-- Christa Jillard

senior-biology

"Probably not, because I don't think I should change my life right now. Everyone is going to be cautious, but you have to keep living your day-to-day life."

-- Porter Vigil

junior-business logistics

"We're starting a war, but what can we do? Nothing we do here will affect what happens over there -- paranoia doesn't do any good."

-- Jose Quinones

freshman-bioengineering

"I'll probably pray more than I have been -- for the troops, the Iraqi people and their leaders. Basically for everyone involved."

-- Matt Franchetti

freshman-political science

"No, I feel pretty safe here. If anything happens, it won't be local. I don't see any repercussions in the near future."

-- Chris Nackos

junior-psychology

"No, I support [the war], and I support the country, but it doesn't have that direct of an impact on me."

- Dani Collins

sophomore-political science
