Protesters should not say U.S. is the enemy
As a former U.S. Marine, it infuriates me to no end to hear the sapless, spineless, worthless Americans in this country say that we are the enemy. I just came from the protest on Old Main and feel that my service to this country is not appreciated. I, along with many other servicemen, have put my neck on the line in foreign, despicable places on this globe, so that we can have freedom.
To all of those who think that the United States is the enemy: Get out of our country where brave men and women died for your freedom. You can only protest because of the brave men and women that have served for your freedom. You are brainwashed by the media into thinking that we are the enemy. If we didn't live in a free society, people like you would be dead because of your lack of heart and bravery.
Move yourself to Iraq, where it is 120 degrees and dry all year long with an oppressive regime that kills those who speak out against it. Maybe China might suit you well; they pay about 15 cents an hour and control your every move.
The bottom line is that you're a coward. Stand up and serve the country that has been serving you. It has ensured your safety and freedom of speech, right to work, educational opportunity, and don't forget your family's very existence.
