U.S. wasn't consulted before it was attacked
I would like to respond to "Ask Iraqi people how they feel about attack," Feb. 18 letter. I'm sorry, I didn't get a call asking if it was OK to try and land a couple of 747s on the 85th floor of the twin towers. Did we check with the Germans if it was okay to bomb them back in the 1940s? Speaking of which, does anyone remember the first half of the 20th century? After the first World War, Germany was supposed to have reduced armed forces. When they starting amassing a huge army with very powerful weapons, we didn't try to stop them before it was too late. We let Nazi extremists bring "malicious destruction" to an entire continent, not to mention genocide. We have to eliminate Hussein to stop something similar from happening. I am sorry for the 350,000 kids, but war isn't pretty. I would much rather a million of their children to one of ours. If we do nothing, you can bet that these Islamic extremist will use biological or chemical weapons on U.S. citizens and they won't care how many of our children they kill. They already kill Israeli children without regard. The Islamic-governed world does not want peace. If they didn't want war, they should have kept their own people in line to prevent the deaths of so many innocent Americans. They want all of us dead. What are we supposed to do?
