Students crowded around the large television screen in the HUB-Robeson Center yesterday to hear Secretary of State Colin Powell present the intelligence evidence he said the United States has against Iraq.

As Secretary of State Colin Powell made his case against Iraq before the United Nations Security Council, the State College Peace Center held a protest at the Allen Street Gates.

The number of 8 a.m. classes in fall 2003 does not appear to have changed, despite Penn State President Graham Spanier's request to schedule classes later.

Aaron McGruder, J.C. Watts, Benazir Bhutto and Ann Coulter could be speaking at Penn State next year. That is, if the Distinguished Speaker Series committee can convince them.

Nicholas Driban never thought his 4.25 high school grade point average (GPA) could slip to a 2.84 his first semester at Penn State.

Just when it seems that the locker room in the Greenberg Ice Pavilion is empty and completely silent, the sound of a garbage can full of jerseys screeching across the floor echoes through the 0room. That's where Phil Krajewski and Dustin Allgeier come into play.

High school seniors across the country are frantically trying to decide which college or university they will attend in the fall, but there are nine girls who have already made their decision. They will be attending Penn State as the women's swimming class of 2007.

Not many devote years of their life to something that takes countless hours of effort and work, a pursuit that is the source of consistent aches and pains and that tests one's ability to compete physically and mentally.

Penn State women's gymnast Sarah DiPasquale had it all until one horrific day changed her entire life.

Don't be surprised if there is a Goo Goo Doll sighting in downtown State College this weekend.

No one would expect a band that covers the Grateful Dead and the Allman Brothers to smash a guitar on stage. Then again, Jack's Farm is anything but a typical cover band.

Reality TV -- It's probably one of today's guiltiest pleasures. Whether it's been judging American Idol contestants, laughing with The Osbournes, or making fun of the women on Joe Millionaire, we've all watched these shows at one time or another. As more and more reality series hit the airwaves, Venues asked: What's your favorite reality TV show, and why?

Long before countless boy bands and teen pop icons were receiving all the credit for hit singles backed by anonymous -- but talented musicians -- there was the Funk Brothers.

Vagina. Let's all say it together, Va-gi-na.

Giacomo Puccini's masterpiece Madame Butterfly, will be performed by the London City Opera at 8 p.m. Friday in Eisenhower Auditorium. The classic tale of love and courage was last performed at Penn State six years ago.
