With a large percentage of police officers serving their country in the military reserves and National Guard, local and state police are facing the prospect of losing officers to a growing conflict with Iraq.

Almost a year has passed since State College Borough Council last contemplated installing surveillance cameras on Beaver Avenue, but discussion on the issue will resurface in coming weeks.

Preparations are in full swing for the Interfraternity Council/Panhellenic Dance Marathon (Thon).

Although swiping into university buildings takes students just a few seconds, the complex technology behind it has taken years to develop.
