Grammar, other lessons available for free online
In response to the article in the Collegian last week ("Some fear grammar going out of style," Jan. 17 article) I'd like to mention that Information Technology Services' Web-Based Training (WBT) program offers seminars specifically related to the development of grammar skills, including punctuation, mechanics and word usage, the parts of speech and writing effective sentences. These seminars are free (ever notice that mysterious "technology fee" on your tuition bill?) to all students. You can do the training at your convenience from your PC at home or at a computer lab. Information about these and other seminars can be found on the Web site: http://wbt.psu.edu. Stephanie Anderson
