Jonathan Dalmolin was sentenced Monday to 2 1/2 to five years in state prison for stealing keys and using them to steal property from dorm rooms. Thomas Berstler was also charged in connection with the thefts and sentenced to one to two years in Centre County jail.

The two former Penn State students plead guilty to burglary, theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property and criminal conspiracy.

The thefts occurred over spring and fall breaks in 2000 and 2001.

The two men were caught after they sold some of the stolen property, which matched police descriptions. Many of the items were returned to police.
