It's happening again. Those of us who are consistent gym-goers, who faithfully maintain our health and fitness year-round, are being subjected to the
lines and crowds of the post-holiday stretch.
Top six ways you know you should not be at the gym:
6. You find that the only times you go to work out are the two weeks after the winter holiday season and two weeks before spring break.
5. You are not aware of any muscle groups besides biceps and abs.
4. Your workout is just not complete unless you are wearing your black "skinny pants" and black-rimmed glasses.
3. You think walking on the treadmill is different than the walking you do around campus all day
2. You are concerned about the
possibility of sweat stains on your T-shirt.
1. You enjoy working out over the lunch hour so you can burn calories and skip a meal, all at the same time!
If any or all of the "Top 6" pertains to you, we won't hold it against you. Just quit fooling yourself that you will someday be asked to star in a Bally's commercial. Give up your gym visits now, instead of a week from now and make room for those of us actually concerned with our health.
