Closed medical center caused inconveniences
I wanted to respond to your Tuesday article "Medical center returns, faces criticism," Jan. 14. I read the part about the pro-life activist and her opinion why it was good for the clinic to be closed down for 6 months. Perhaps she neglected to mention how many women had to travel to another county during that time to have an abortion preformed, and how many women where in danger of epotic pregnancies, or the ones that endanger the life of the mother. This clinic is here to help educate the community, not scare them. And the more we support it, the more our younger population in this town will know about their options and services available to them. I would like to mention to those who support the clinic being open, please consider reading about the Roe vs. Wade trial and educate others on the importance of these clinics staying open and functional.
