chance of flurries
Today's University Park forecast

It was noticeably cold on the first day of classes and it looks like it will only get colder as an Arctic blast affects the region. A strong northwesterly flow is ushering bitterly cold Arctic air into the Northeast. These winds will kick off some lake effect snow bands which probably will not make it all the way down to State College due to the dryness of this cold air mass. Clouds will hang around for a while, however, and prevent temperatures from dropping significantly overnight.
