Undergraduate Student Government (USG) Senate gave $1,816 to the Association of Residence Halls Students (ARHS) Tuesday night, raising concerns about the Senate's shrinking budget.

Backs are sore and eyelids are heavy from sitting in the same position of a full car for endless hours. There is no time to stop for the night, save occasional pit stops. Yet, many say that a drive through seven states is worth it to get to Orlando, Fla., location of the Capital One Bowl.

Winter break is a time to relax and not worry. Most students just have a blank planner and several weeks to do nothing. One event that is highlighted on a lot of students' schedules is the Capital One Bowl game. So, what are your plans?

After last May's errors in final grade reporting, the Undergraduate Student Government (USG) Academic Assembly and the Office of the Registrar developed a new policy to post final grades.

Following a national trend, more Latino students are graduating from Penn State than ever before, though a recent study by the Pew Hispanic Center shows an education gap between Latino immigrants and Latinos born in the United States.

The 21st annual Bellefonte Victorian Christmas begins today and continues through Sunday in downtown Bellefonte.


SPORTS

The most recognizable trophy in college football will not be handed out until tomorrow night, but last night, Penn State tailback Larry Johnson still earned the right to call himself "the Outstanding Player in Collegiate Football."

The dozen or so Penn State football players who showed up for the team's bowl media day Wednesday trudged through the heaps of slush and patches of ice that covered the Beaver Stadium parking lot while freezing rain came down from the sky with almost the same intensity as a summer downpour.

Just in case you forgot, the Penn State football team has something to say: We're not just LJ's supporting cast.

After a 24-6, loss to Toledo on Sept. 2, 2000, Larry Johnson spouted off about the predictability of the Penn State offense.


As attrition from the Penn State roster begins to mount with its latest loss, small forward Jammal Tate, and depth becomes more and more of a problem, the Nittany Lions' three-man freshman class will have to bear more of the load.

It has passed the first few tasks of the season, but now the true tests begin.

Christmas trees, lights and Santa: the 8th Annual Festival of Trees is a winter wonderland.

Somewhere deep down inside, I truly believe that the title Analyze That is a plea from the creators to pay attention to something -- anything -- other than their ridiculous excuse for a sequel.

One final encore of the fan favorite "You Enjoy Myself" on Oct. 7, 2000, and the musical entity known as Phish disappeared from the face of the planet as we knew it.

System of a Down wants listeners to get its new album no matter what, even if it means costing the band a few dollars.

The first striking thing about George Harrison's posthumous release, Brainwashed, is how insanely infectious the melody is. Then comes Harrison's vocals, which sound as fresh as anything on his classic 1970 album, All Things Must Pass, which just might have been the best album ever produced by a former Beatle.

All that glitters is not gold.
