Down the slippery slope

State College skiers and snowboarders head to Tussey Mountain for a winter fix

Tussey Mountain Ski Resort is open for the season. According to the resort’s ski report, there is a base of 12 to 32 inches of groomed snow. The resort currently has seven runs and four lifts open. Increasing temperatures expected for this weekend could hamper the resort’s early start to the ski season. The resort is open 4 to 10 p.m. on weekdays, 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Sunday.
