Letter to the Editor
Don't judge community by actions of a few

After seeing letters for several days now that could be classified as nothing more than gay bashing, I've grown tired of all their b.s. rhetoric. The most ridiculous points that they continue to bring up are the murders of Mary Stachowicz and Jesse Dirkhising.

Do you honestly believe that because these two people were killed by homosexuals that it at all reflects the behavior of the remainder of the homosexual community?

I'd be willing to go out on a limb here and say that there are many more deranged murders committed by straight people.

To those who imply that most child molesters are homosexuals: That does not mean that most homosexuals are child molesters. Once again, I'm willing to stick my neck out and say that most gay people would never hurt a child in such a way and detest the act just as much as you or I.

Here's a suggestion to the religious nuts, quit being such judgmental, self-righteous hypocrites. All people sin, so what makes you any better than the people who you claim are committing a sinful act? Why do you feel the need to degrade people? You make Christianity look like a hate group and I find that offensive.

Lastly, what does it matter that the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community and its allies (LGBTA) make front-page news? They're also part of the Penn State community and deserve coverage.

I'm not saying you have to accept everything, but you should tolerate and respect the individuals as they are PSU students as well.
