Letter to the Editor
We'll remember what it's like to rise early

Should we really keep those 8 o'clock classes around? True, college is a place meant to prepare us for the "real world," but I really think the majority of us slovenly, beer-guzzling college students somehow managed to acquire the skills necessary to tumble out of bed when the alarm clock goes off every morning sometime back in elementary school. It's just that, at 7 a.m., for some crazy reason, we just don't want to. A simple suggestion for those anxious to prepare for the real world: Why don't you set your alarm an hour early? That way you can all continue unfettered your Rocky-like, high-intensity training program of learning how to get up for an 8 a.m. workday. As for me, I'll be at home, nestled snug in my bed with sugar-plum thoughts dancing in my head -- a skill I know I don't need Penn State to teach me.
