In response to the Dec. 2 letters bashing homosexuality and the LGBTA:
People are different, not everyone fits into the cookie-cutter lifestyle we think is normal. I would like to say that I'm both Christian and heterosexual. I'm not part of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community and its allies, but I do think their existence is imperative to secure the safety and emotions of its members. Homosexuals are neither sinful for their orientation nor are they physically and mentally different from the majority.
It's amazing to me since Penn State is committed to furthering its intercultural beliefs and diversity, students are still ignorant and obtuse to differences in fellow students -- in this case, the gay community.
