Today's University Park forecast

The mild weather experienced recently will come to an end beginning tonight. A low pressure system moves into the area from the Gulf of Mexico bringing a wintery mix for the Commonwealth. Most of the snow should remain to the north and west while the east will experience wind swept rain. The precipitation will begin to taper off later in the weekend as a cold Canadian air mass moves into the region. The temperatures will drop to slightly below normal levels. The next chance for rain may arrive with a weak front towards mid-week.
