Men's cross country
at Mid-Atlantic Regional

If the Nittany Lions can beat one of the teams that have several at-large points, they could cash in on an at-large bid to the NCAA National Championships on Nov. 23.

Penn State men's cross country coach Harry Groves will send senior Josh Loren to lead a young group of Lions to a hopeful upset. Juniors Michael Enwright and Chris Pruitt, sophomores Tim Walker, Chris Foster and Mike Gioia, and freshman Shawn Cavanaugh will also run in the meet.

While the Lions have struggled recently, coming in 10th at the Big Ten championship and 32nd at Pre-Nationals, the team could contend at Regionals. The meet is at a neutral site in West Virginia.
