Div. I Icers
vs. Michigan-Dearborn

you never know just what a Central States Hockey League team will throw at you.

At least that's the message circulating through the No. 1 Penn State Div. I ACHA Icers' locker room this week.

Icers coach Joe Battista said that although the Michigan-Dearborn Wolves (6-5-0) are only one game above .500, they are ranked 10th in the latest ACHA polls, are 5-1 in their last six games, and are capable of playing with the best teams in the league.

"The Central States League is like Big Ten football," Battista said. "Anybody in that league can beat anybody else on any day."

Michigan-Dearborn isn't the only team in this weekend's series capable of pouncing on unsuspecting opponents. The Icers are undefeated this year and have played only one game closer than four goals. Junior forward Glenn Zuck, who leads the ACHA in points and goals scored, said that the Icers are rolling high right now.

"We've got a good head of steam," Zuck said. "We're 10-0, and that should be enough momentum."
