Dear Penn State, I would like to thank you for taking over the responsibility of raising my child. I was worried he would start to make decisions on his own. I applaud PSU for taking steps to limit his decision-making ability.
At football games, I totally agree with removing caps from the water bottles. My son would never think of throwing a bottle without a cap on it. This precaution is definitely the reason for the decline in object throwing.
At the Northwestern game, it was raining. My son was told by event staff not to stand on the bleachers, because it was a safety hazard. Shame on the rest of you students for standing on the bleachers; my son couldn't see and was forced to stand with the rest of you. You forced him to disobey and he could have been seriously hurt! Finally, my son was thinking of visiting his friends in Florida over fall break in 2003. Now that fall break is one day shorter, this trip to spend quality time with his best friends has been ruined. Now he can come home and spend the weekend with his mother.
A few suggestions: 1) Bike speed limits. 2) Loop seat belts. 3) Assigned seats at the HUB-Robeson Center.
