Penn State graduates will speak about being women in the professional world at 2 p.m. today in 102 Kern Building.
After the panel discussion, the women will be available to meet individually with students. Students may bring resumes and ask questions.
All of the speakers are members of the Penn State Professional Women's Network of New York.
The panel features Susan Palombo, senior director of marketing and new products at Champion Sports Apparel, Betty Wund, circulation manager/business writer at the Record-Review, and Madhu Mazumdar, head of the research biostatistician support group at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. Penn State professor Stephanie Shields, author of Speaking from the Heart: Gender and the Social Meaning of Emotion, will be the moderator for the event.
Erika London, research assistant for the Children's Rights, Inc. of New York City, will participate in the mentoring sessions.
The event is sponsored by the Women's Studies Program and the Women's Studies Honor Society.
