Taunts at Vet stadium are par for the course

Re: "Philadelphia stadium really not so brotherly," Oct. 24 letter -- Jayme Scrudders, I guess you didn't do any research before visiting the Vet. Philadelphia fans, especially those of the Eagles, are notorious for ragging on opposing fans, and we're damn proud of it too.

If you hadn't noticed, over the past three years, the Eagles have beaten the Bucs four times, including two playoff bludgeonings. Don't take it personally. Sober and drunken Philadelphia fans alike will feed off anyone from an opposing team. Going to an Eagles game with a Giants, Redskins, Cowboys or Bucs jersey is like going into the heart of Baghdad with an American flag T-shirt on -- it's just not a smart idea. My lesson to you is that if you are going to an opposing stadium, especially during a strong rivalry, prepare to be shouted at and please stop crying.
