Letter to the Editor
Babies still in womb are 'complete people'

In response to Adam Levenstein's Oct. 23 letter, "Those ideals are noted in another document": In Vinny Grande's letter, he made a very important point that I believe you may have missed. He was saying that from the point of conception, a growing child has all the genetic materials it will need throughout his or her lifetime. An unborn child at any stage of development is, in fact, a complete person with a totally unique identity. A severed limb is not, nor ever will be, a complete human being.

The important statement that Mr. Grande made was that unborn children are complete people. Whenever you hear the pro-choice slogan -- "It's a woman's choice!" -- remember that what's growing in a mother's womb is not a choice, he or she is a child who deserves a chance at life.
