I was reading the article about Unity Week (Oct. 21) in The Daily Collegian and I was pleased to see that such a wonderful event will be held here. It's great to see that there is an outlet for students to share their on-campus experiences. This campus is not always a friendly environment for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender students and their allies and disabled students. Any efforts to rectify this unfortunate fact should be applauded. I would hope that those of you who support these students in word would take this opportunity to put your support into action and attend the events of Unity Week.
