This may seem like a petty issue to many, but for some of us who traveled from the Washington, D.C., area to escape three weeks of sometimes paralyzing fear and anxiety to enjoy homecoming weekend at our alma mater, petty theft and vandalism are no laughing matter.
I absolutely cannot believe I have to worry about a Penn State paw magnet being stolen off my car (again!) while parked in the Pugh Street garage on Sunday afternoon, or that a friend must clean the eggs from her car windows after someone apparently tried to make an omelet on it.
Thanks for putting a damper on a weekend during which we all could have used a little peace, fundamental respect and civility. Perhaps you will someday realize that the repercussions of your actions resonate far beyond the view of Mt. Nittany.
