Fire trucks and other emergency vehicles will be parked on Pollock Road today in recognition of National Fire Prevention Week.
Penn State's Environmental Health and Safety Department will run an interactive fire safety exhibit from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. next to the Carnegie Building.
The exhibit will include advice about how to be safe from fire on campus and at home. Participants will have the opportunity to crawl through a simulated fire exhibit to experience a real smoke environment.
Informational booths will be set up with handouts and videos about fire safety and prevention. Photos from fires that have occurred on campus will be on display.
