Letter to the Editor
Spots of blue cheered well among sea of red

This letter is to thank all the Penn State fans at the Wisconsin football game for making the trek to Madison. I'm talking about the 20 or so of us who drove the 12 and a half hours to root for our team. Section Z in the last couple of rows was where the party was. It was like being at home in Beaver Stadium. We were loud and stood the entire game. Camp Randall Stadium is supposedly a tough stadium to play in for the road team, but not Saturday. Their fans of 70,000 or so were not into the game at all. From the back rows of our section echoed the chant "We want the lion." The 20 of us must have been loud because the Nittany Lion standing in the back of the end zone heard us and ran up to greet his fans.

The fans of Wisconsin lost with dignity; well, most of them. Only being down by one possession, their fans started to leave with like six minutes left in the game, I can only guess why. I just want to say thanks; you made my time at the game and the trip well worth it. Taking this trip, I have discovered something: It's not what you wear to the game, it's how you cheer on your team.
