Science fiction author and writer James Morrow will be speaking today at a meeting of the Nittany Valley Writers' Network, according to a press release from Schlow Memorial Library, 100 E. Beaver Ave.
Morrow will talk to attendants about his thoughts on the art of fiction, in particular the concept that a piece of fiction can be considered a scientific "thought experiment."
The Network, which is sponsored by Schlow, is made up of local writers who convene monthly to discuss ideas, motivational techniques and information about the local writing scene.
The meeting will take place from 7 to 9 tonight in room 112 of the State College Municipal Building, 243 S. Allen St., and the public is invited to attend. For additional information, contact librarian Linda Lorich at 235-7816.
