Congratulations to the editorial staff for running an editorial ("Bottle plan: We tip our caps to a safer stadium," Sept. 30) in support of the university and against the bottle throwers. As an alum, it embarrasses us in front of a national audience. As a parent of a junior already hit twice, it creates the fear that she too may have to undergo facial surgery to repair broken bones or worse.

Many from the student government president on down have waffled on this. Thanks for having the guts to stand up for what's right.
