Letter to the Editor
Take time to appreciate art in circulation lobby

While walking through the main library today on my trek to the outside, I decided for some reason to look upwards toward the ceiling for a little peace of mind, and that's when I saw it.

Have you noticed the new wall tapestry art that is hanging on the wall of the circulation lobby?

Today was the first day I noticed it. There is a gorgeous piece of art that incorporates a broad array of colors and patterns. I was mesmerized by the intricacy and detail that I had gazed upon.

I had to find out who this brilliant artist was, so in my search, I was directed to an office on the fifth floor of Paterno Library. The women who greeted me gladly presented me with a copy of the artist's interpretation of the work.

Of the three years that I have been on this campus, I have noticed numerous students who just seem to walk past these abundant sculptures and pieces of art without thinking twice to take the time to actually look at what this campus has presented as "eye candy" for the students and faculty.

The point of this letter is rather simple: Take the time to look at this new piece of art that is hanging on the wall of the circulation lobby. You will be surprised at what you see.
