As I headed back to State College for Penn State football, I was very excited. I sat down in my seat, my first time in an alumni seat. It was hell on earth. The fans in those sections are so confused about how to act.
Many of the people acted as if it were a chore to attend the game. They act all high and mighty by flashing money and yelling at the people who want to watch the game.
I bought my ticket from a friend. He warned me the people next to him are "not much fun."
I didn't know what to expect, but I was going to enjoy myself. The guests sitting next to me proceeded to tell me I looked as if I shouldn't be in "these" seats. I was very offended.
I was then yelled at for standing up to cheer on a play that resulted in a touchdown. The people behind me kept yelling, "Sit down, I can't see." The man next to me kept saying, "I really don't think you're supposed to be here."
The whole game they complained. I was very frustrated and showed my ticket to prove I was in the right seat.
I thought the point of going to a game was to give support. I earned my degree from this school. I earned the right to sit in the alumni section, if I choose to, and I will never do it again.
I realize Penn State alumni have a broad range of success with wealth. However, some alumni need to learn how to act when it comes to showing off their money.
Take in all the game has to offer. Don't go to flash your wealth.
