I am glad to see that the effort to locate Cindy Song has not weakened even as the one-year mark of her disappearance approaches.
The welfare and importance of one individual life is sometimes overlooked when society is confronted with such broad and dramatic international change, as it has been the past year. I know that many of us who didn't know Cindy share in the grief of her family and friends.
Cindy's absence leaves me with an inescapable feeling that campus is a little more empty, because a part of what makes us who we are is missing.
She is not forgotten.
