Collegian Staff Writer

After a seven-month investigation by the Centre County Drug Task Force, Shane Lee Wolfe was arrested in connection with drug distribution and possession yesterday, according to a task force press release.

The 22-year-old Huntingdon County man was arraigned on more than 450 drug-related counts including: 435 counts of possession with intent to deliver and delivery of marijuana, cocaine, heroin, PCP, ecstasy and psilocybin mushrooms, 10 counts of possession of marijuana, cocaine, heroin, PCP, ecstasy and psilocybin mushrooms, 44 counts of possession of a small amount of marijuana, one count of possession of drug paraphernalia and four counts of the corruption of minors. Wolfe formerly lived in Ferguson Township.

Wolfe was arraigned before District Justice Brad Lunsford yesterday and was committed to Centre County Prison in lieu of $250,000 bail.

Lt. John Perryman said Wolfe remained in prison yesterday and would probably not make bail anytime soon.

The task force initiated the investigation after a 17-year-old juvenile died of a heroin overdose in February.

The task force reported five suspected heroin overdoses, one of which was the death of the 17-year-old and one being the overdose of a 22-year-old Penn State student.
