Patrick Sheehan was pronounced dead at Geisinger Medical Center Friday, Penn State Police Services said.

Sheehan was electrocuted on Aug. 31 before the Penn State football game against the University of Central Florida.

Sheehan was shocked while attempting to erect a pole at a tailgate in the parking area outside of the stadium.

Police said the death was accidental.
