When all the pieces of another fall semester drop into place again Tuesday, the Penn State community will still be a little bit smaller than it might have been a year ago.

When the modern gladiators that make up the Penn State football team began returning to Happy Valley earlier this month, there was something decidedly different.

Getting in shape just got a little easier. Well, at least the first step did.

Not everyone at Penn State can strap on the shoulder pads and step on the field at Beaver Stadium to play football in front of 100,000 fans.

Study abroad programs at Penn State provide students with the opportunity to experience a culture different from their own and live in another country for a semester.

As students return for Fall classes, the search to furnish their local homes begins.

Cell phones are becoming so popular that more and more people are foregoing traditional phones and relying solely on their cells.

At a large university like Penn State, names and places are often shortened to save time and space. So here is a list of common acronyms and abbreviations you are likely to hear or read, or even find yourself using, during your college career.

Franchised clothing stores as well as local shops are preparing their stores and windows for the fall season as students arrive back at school to do their fall shopping.
